आठवे देव तो करावा उपाय । येर त्यजीं वाव खटपटा ॥१॥
जाणिवेच्या भारें भवाचिये डोहीं । बुडसी तों कांहीं निघेसि ना ॥३॥
तुका म्हणे देवा पावसील भावें । जाणतां तें ठावें कांहीं नव्हे ॥४॥

1. Aathave dev to karava upaay, yer tyajee vaav khatapata
2. Hoyi ba jaaga hoyi ba jaaga, vaauga ka ga sinseel
3. Jaanivechya bhaare bhavaachiye dohee, budasee to kaahee nighesi na
4. Tuka mhane deva paavaseel bhaave, jaanata te thaave kaahee navhe.
Translation
1. We should understand what makes us remember God and we should do that activity. All other activities are of no use and one should simply do away with them.
2. Oh man! Awaken! Awaken! Why are you getting so much tired, why are you getting so much worked out?
3. If you carry the burden of knowledge (Dnyan) on your head, you will drown in this material ocean. Then you will not be able to come out of it.
4. Tuka says, you will be able to reach God only with the strength of your devotion. If you are possessing only knowledge, you may still not understand anything about God.
