विठो सांपडावया हातीं । ठावी जाली एक गति ।
न धरीं भय चित्तीं । बळ किती तयाचें ॥१॥
लागे आपणचि हातीं । किंव भाकावी काकुलती ।
एकलिया भावबळें । कैं सांपडे तो काळें ।
वैष्णवांच्या मेळें । उभा ठाके हाकेसी ॥३॥
बांधा माझिया जीवासी । तुका म्हणे प्रेमपाशीं ।
न सोडीं तयासी । सर्वस्वासी उदार ॥४॥
Roman Text
1. Vitho saapadaavaya haatee, thaavee jaalee ek gati. Na dharee bhay chittee, bal kitee tayaache
2. Laage aapanachi haatee, kiv bhaakaavee kaakulatee. Karee mag chittee, asel te tayaache
3. Ekaliya bhaavabale, kai saapade to kaale. Vaishnavaanchya mele, ubha thaake haakesee
4. Baandha maaziya jeevasee, Tuka mhane premapaashee. Na sodee tayaasee, sarvaswaasee udaar.
Translation
I have found a path to reach God and become one with him. Now you need not be afraid of him at all. After all, how much strength can he have? (Meaning he cannot resist your attack of love for him).
If you Express your desperation and plead ardently, then he will come to you by himself. Then he will do with the devotee whatever comes in his heart.
If you worship him alone it will take some time to get him, but if you simply call out on him while remaining in a group of Vaishnavites, then he stands in front of you within no time.
Tuka says, you may tie up this Shri Vitthal with my life, with a bond of love. Once you do that, I will just not leave him. Even though I am very generous in all other matters with everybody else!
