हाचि परमानंद आळंगीन बाहीं । क्षेम देतां ठायीं द्वैत तुटे ॥१॥
बोलायासि मात मन निवे हर्षे चित्त । दुणी वाढे प्रीत प्रेमसुख ॥२॥
जनांत भूषण वैकुंठीं सरता । मावलें स्वहिता सर्वभावें ॥३॥
तुका म्हणे हा विठ्ठलचि व्हावा । आणिकी या जीवा चाड नाहीं ॥५॥
Roman Text
1. Haachi paramaanand aalangeen baahee, kshem deta thaayi dvait tute
2. Bolaayasi maat man nive harshe chitta, dunee vaadhe preet premasukh
3. Janaat bhooshan vaikunthee sarata, maavale swahita sarvabhaave
4. Tutala vevhaar maaya lokaachaar, samool sansaar paarushala
5. Tuka mhane ha Vitthalachi vhaava, aanikee ya jeeva chaad naahee.
Translation
This is a very sweet Abhang in which Tukaram Maharaj is expressing his love for Shri Vitthal. He is describing the nice things which will happen when he gives an embrace to Shri Vitthal. This is one of those abhangs which show how deeply Tukaram Maharaj loved God.
1. I will give an embrace with both my hands, to this Shri Hari, who is a manifestation of transcendental happiness. The state of duality vanishes when I am in his arms.
2. The heart gets contented by talking about him. The mind becomes tranquil and the joy of loving him gets doubled.
3. The man get honoured by the society and ultimately he is granted entry into the Vaikunth. Everything that is good, in all respects, comes to this person.
4. The need for dealing with the chores of material life vanishes. The need to maintain mundane formalities in this illusive world of Maya, vanishes. The root cause of having attachment to the household matters also vanishes.
5. Tuka says I want the company of this Shri Vitthal only. My heart doesn't have any other passion.
