संदेह निरसे तरि रुचिकर । फिक्यासी आदर चवी नाहीं ॥१॥
आतां नको मज खोटयानें फटवूं । कोठें येऊं जाऊं वेळोवेळां ॥ध्रु.॥
तुका म्हणे कशी निवडा जी बरें । केलीं तैसीं पोरें आळी पायी ॥३॥

1. Sandeh nirase tari ruchikar, fikyaasee aadar chavee nahee
2. Aataa nako maj khotyaane fatavoo, kothe yeu jaau velovela
3. Gela tari kaay jeevache saakade, vaachauni pudhe kaay kaaj
4. Tuka mhane kashee nivada jee bare, kelee taisee pore aalee payee.
Translation
1. A food item will taste good only after all doubts, about what it is, are resolved. Something which is bland, will not get any respect. Nobody will like it.
2. Oh God! Please don't deceive me by showing false hopes now. How many times do I have to keep coming to you and going back, again and again?
3. If I don't get You, then there is no value for my life. It won't matter even if I have to lose my life. What will be the gain even if I am saved? None.
4. Tuka says, we, who are your children, are throwing tantrums to get what we want. You must fulfil our desires. You may check us, test us, but give us what we want.
