बहुतां रीती काकुलती । आलों चित्तीं न धराच ॥१॥
आतां कशासाठी देवा । मिथ्या हेवा वाढवूं ॥ध्रु.॥
तुम्हां आम्हां जाली तुटी । आतां भेटी चिंतनें ॥२॥

1. Bahuta reetee kakulatee, aalo chittee na dharaach
2. Aata kashaasaathi deva, mithya heva vaadhavu
3. Tumha aamha jaalee tutee, aata bhetee chintane
4. Tuka mhane lajirvaane, adheer jine iccheche.
Translation
1. Oh God, I have become extremely desperate in all the ways, for meeting You. But, You haven't developed any sympathy for me.
2. Then, why should I nurture any false hope in my mind?
3. We both have drifted very far apart. Now, the only way to meet you is by contemplating about you.
4. Tuka says, this frustrating life has become very shameful because my expectations are very high.
