उपकारासाठी केले हे उपाय । येणेंविण काय चाड आम्हा ॥१॥

बुडतां हे जन न देखवे डोळां । येतो कळवळा म्हणउनि ॥२॥

तुका म्हणे माझे देखतील डोळे । भोग देते वेळे येइल कळों ॥३॥

1. Upakaaraasaathee kele he upaay, yenevin kaay chaad aamha

2. Budata he jan na dekhave dola, yeto kalavala mhanauni

3. Tuka mhane maaze dekhateel dole, bhoag dete vele yeyil kalo

Translation

1. I am giving this spiritual advice to people in order to help them. Otherwise, what's the need for me to do this?

2. I cannot bear the sight of these people getting drowned in their own ignorance. I feel a great concern for them.

3. Tuka says, when the time comes for them to suffer from the consequences of their ignorance, I will be the one who will get tears in my eyes.
