Marathi Text
नव्हती माझे बोल । अवघें करितो विठ्ठल ॥१॥
कांहीं न धरावी खंती । हित होइल धरा चित्तीं ॥२॥
खोटी ते अहंता । वाट टाकिली सांगतां ॥३॥
Roman Script
1. Navhatee maaze bol, avaghe karito Vitthal
2. Kaahee na dharaavee khantee, hit hoeel dhara chittee
3. Khotee te ahanta, vaat taakilee saangata
4. Jyaanche tochi jaane, mee maapaade Tuka mhane.
Translation
1. Whatever I am speaking, these are not my words. Shri Vitthal is doing all this. He is speaking through me.
2. Do not feel any worry in your heart about this. You will only benefit. Bear this in your mind.
3. Ego takes a man on a misleading path. So, a man should shed his ego.
4. The one who is doing this (through me, God) only knows everything. Tuka says, I am only His servant who is giving service as he demands. (Here, Tukaram Maharaj compares himself to a servant in a shop, where weighing of goods is taking place. The servant takes exactly whatever amount the master tells him to put in the pan of the weighing scale.)
