आपुला विचार करीन जीवाशीं । काय या जनाशीं चाड मज ॥१॥
आपुलें स्वहित जाणती सकळ । निरोधितां बळें दुःख वाटे ॥ध्रु.॥
आइको नाइको कथा कोणीतरी । जाऊनियां घरीं निजो सुखें ॥२॥
माझी कोण वोज जाला हा शेवट । देखोनियां वाट आणिकां लागे ॥३॥
तुका म्हणे भाकुं आपुली करुणा । जयाची वासना तया फळे ॥४॥

- Aapula vichaar kareen jeevaashee, kaay ya
janaashee chaad maj
- Aapule
swahit jaanatee sakal, nirodhita bale dukkha vaate
- Aaiko
naiko katha konee taree, jaauniya gharee nijo sukhe
- Maajhee
kon voj jaala ha shevat, dekhoniya vaat aanika laage
- Tuka mhane bhaakoo aapulee
karuna, jayaachee vaasana taya fale.

Translation
1.
I will ask my own self, regarding
what I should do for my spiritual development. I do not attach any value to
what the people want to say in this matter.
2.
Everyone knows what is good
for them. If people are told to refrain from what karmas they are doing, they
are going to feel bad.
3.
It doesn't matter if people
listen to my Kirtana or they don't. It doesn’t matter even if they go and sleep
at home.
4.
Have I really reached the
end of my spiritual pursuit? I haven't. So, how can expect that I can guide
them and show them the right path?
5.
Tuka says, I will plead to
God for mercy, only for myself. As far as others are concerned, they will get
the fruit from God, in accordance of their desire.
