काय करूं कर्माकर्म । बरें सांपडलें वर्म ॥१॥

होसी नामाच सारिखा । समजाविली नाहीं लेखा ॥२॥

नाहीं वेचावेच जाला । उरला आहेसी संचला ॥३॥

तुका म्हणे माझें । काय होईल तुम्हां ओझें ॥४॥

1. Kaay karoo karmaakarma, bare saapadale varma

2. Hosee naamaach saarikha, samjaavilee naahee lekha

3. Nahee venchaavench jhala, urala aahesee sanchala

4. Tuka mhane maajhe, kaay hoil tumha oze.

Translation

1. Why should I engage in troublesome debate on ‘Karma’ and ‘Akarma’? I have found the key to God realisation, which is chanting the name of Shri Vitthal (Nama Smaran).

2. Oh God, you are so benevolent and so loving! Just like your name. You have blessed innumerable people with self-realization.

3. Your form never changes. You neither become bigger nor smaller.

4. Tuka says, Oh God, will it be a big burden on you if you bless me too?
