वासनेच्या मुखी आदळूनि भीतें । निर्वाहापुरते कारण तें ।।१।।

या नांव अंतरा आला नारायण । चित्तसमाधान खून त्याची ।।२।।

सर्वकाळ हाचि करणें विचार । विवेकी सादर आत्मत्वाचे ।।३।।

तुका म्हणे जों जों भजनासी वळे । अंगे तों तों कळे सन्निधता ।।४।।

1. Vaasanechya mukhee aadaluni bheete, nirvaahaapurate kaaran te

2. Ya naav antara aala Narayan, chittasamaadhaan khoon tyaachee

3. Sarvakaal haachi karane vichaar, vivekee saadar aatmatvaache

4. Tuka mhane jo jo bhajanaasee vale, ange to to kale sannidhata.

Translation

1. We should fear the desires which arise inside us, just feed them with a little satisfaction, and work only to the extent that our household needs are met.

2. A satisfied mind is the indication that Shri Narayan has come to reside in your heart.

3. We should always keep it in mind that we are a soul with 'Self Consciousness' residing inside us and we should live our life using our wisdom.

4. Tuka says, when we do more and more of singing bhajans, we will start experiencing increasing closeness of God inside our own body.
