काय आम्ही आता पोटची भरावे l जग चाळवावे भक्त म्हूण ll१ll

ऐसा तरी एक सांगा जी विचार l बहू होतो फार कासावीस ll२ll

काय कवित्वाची घालूनिया रूढी l करू जोडाजोडी अक्षरांची ll३ll

तुका म्हणे काय गुंफोनि दुकाना l राहो नारायणा करूनि घात ll४ll

1. Kaay aamhee ata potachee bharaave, jag chaalavaave bhakt mhoon

2. Aisa tare ek saanga jee vichaar, bahu hoto faar kaasaavees

3. Kaay kavitvaachee ghaaluniya roodhee, karu jodaajodee aksharaanchee

4. Tuka mhane kaay gumfoni dukaana, raaho Naaraayana karuni ghaat.

Translation

1. Oh God! Should I just deceive people by pretending to people that I am your devotee? Only for filling my stomach? (Just for earning my daily bread?)

2. If that is indeed your plan please tell me. I have become very desperate for your Darshan.

3. Tell me Oh my Lord. Do you want me to spend my whole life just trying to put words together and somehow writing traditional poetry?" (I want to get the experience of meeting you and writing that experience. The words of an ascended master are holy).

4. Tuka says, Should I just remain what I am? Should I just run my grocery shop and make a big damage to myself? (If I keep doing that, I will not be able to meet you. I don't want to do that. Bless me with your darshan Lord!)
