आणीक कांहीं या उत्तराचें काज । नाहीं आतां मज बोलावया ॥१॥

भिन्न भेद हे भावना स्वभाव । नव्हे कांहीं देव एकविध ॥ध्रु.॥

गुण दोष कोणें निवडावे धर्म । कोण जाणे कर्म अकर्म तें ॥२॥

तरि भलें आतां न करावा संग । दुःखाचे प्रसंग तोडावया ॥३॥

तुका म्हणे गुण गाई या देवाचे । घेई माझे वाचे हेचि धणी ॥४॥

1. Aaneek kaahee ya uttaraache kaaj, naahee aata maj bolaavaya
2. Bhinna bhed he bhaavana swabhaav, navhe kaahee dev ekavidh
3. gun dosh kone nivadhaave dharma, kon jaane karma akarma te
4. Taree bhale aata n karaava sang, dukhaache prasang todaavaya
5. Tuka mhane gun gaai yaa devaache, ghei majhe vaache hechi dhanee.

Translation

1.      Now, I have no reason to talk about anything else (other than God).

2.      Although there are several variations in the characteristics of all the men, God is present everywhere, in spite of all the differences.

3.      What standards should I use to decide what's a virtue and what's a vice? How am I to select between karma and akarma? (Activity and non-activity). How am I to recognize karma or akarma?

4.      Now, the best thing to do is not to stay in anybody else's company. That will automatically keep away from me all situations of sorrow.

5.      Tuka says, now my tongue will always keep singing the glory of God. That alone is the completely satisfying passion.
