Translation
Tukoba has praised saints eloquently in many abhangas. This abhanga is also full of description of their divine qualities. He says, saints are superior to even Philosopher's Stone!
- The one who has shed ego and attachment completely, who does not indulge in censure, violence or conspiracy; the one who is spotlessly pure like a crystal. As a result, his body has attained the power of granting any wish to any person, like a gemstone 'Chintamani'.
- There is no need to go to the liberation granting city of Varanasi (Benares), because, now all the people come to this saint for liberation. He has become the holy place of all the holy places. His sight (darshan) itself grants liberation (Moksha) to the seer. His mind is pure and hence it doesn't matter whether he is wearing a holy garland or not. What is the need for these ornaments for someone who is of a very pure mind? Purity of mind is equivalent to having all the holy ornaments and decorations. He is ever chanting praises to the Lord. His mind is filled with joy!
- He has given his body, mind and wealth to the Lord Purushottama (one of the many names is the Lord, meaning the best man among all the men). He has no attachments to anything.
- Tuka says, how much more can I praise him? He is superior to even the Philosopher's stone!
