Tukaram Gatha Abhanga 41

दुर्जनासि करी साहे । तो लाहे दंड हे ।।१।। 
शिंदळीच्या कुंटणी वाटा । संग खोटा खोट्याचा ।।२।।
येर येरा कांचणी भेटे । आगी उठे तेथूनी ।।३।।

तुका म्हणे कापूं नाकें । पुढें आणिकें शिकविती ।।४।।

English

1. Durjanaasi karee saahe, to laahe dand he
2. Shindalichyaa kuntani vataa, sang khotaa khotyachaa
3. Yer year kanchanee bhete, aagee uthe tethunee
4. Tukaa mhane kaapu naake, pudhe aanike shikavitee

Translation

Saint Tukaram is using strong words in this abhanga to give a message that he will crush evil to prevent it from proliferating.

1. Those people who help evil people, too, must be punished.
2. Only a prostitute will be able to share the male partner of an immoral woman. It is true that a bad person gets a bad company.
3. If one substance is struck on another, it will produce a spark.
4. Tuka says, we will chop off the noses of such people, to prevent the danger of them teaching their bad ways to others.
