Translation
This abhanga is a strong criticism of a person who is attached to emotions of expectations and greed. He says that it ultimately spoils him completely.
- There are people who are excessively attached to expectations and greed (for pleasures obtained by gratification of the senses). How will they know God (The Lord Narayana)?
- These people are eager to serve their senses. They aspire only for the pleasures obtainable from the senses).
- They do not understand what is appropriate, just like a mentally deranged person (or a person who has become a slave of his senses).
- Tuka says, this is similar to the food which gets spoiled if poison is added to it.
