Translation
In this abhanga, Saint Tukaram is imagining himself in the role of a gopi (a friend of Krishna in Vrindavan where he grew up) who loves Krishna. He finds krishna irresistible from that consciousness of a gopi.
  1. This majestic, sweet and tender like a child, Lord Vitthala is like Cupid himself! The brilliance of the sun and the moon also appears dim in comparison with his aura.
  2. His forehead is anointed with a mark in sandalwood paste and his whole body is decorated with sandalwood paste.
  3. The Vaijayanti garland is looking very beautiful in His neck (Vaijayanti garland is made from seeds of a plant called Vaijayanti, found only in Braj forests around Mathura - the land of Krishna). His crown and ear ornaments are bringing a glorious look on His face. It is as if all happiness in the world has been cast to make His form!
  4. He is wearing a holy yellow garment (pitambar) around His waist and He has covered His shoulders with a silk garment. My dear friends! Just see this blue color, blue cloud complexioned beauty!
  5. I just can't wait to see Him. Hence, my dear women! Please step aside and let me see Him!
