Tukaram Gatha Abhanga 23

निंदी कोणी मारी । वंदी कोणी पूजा करी ।।१।।

मज हेंही नाहीं तेंही नाहीं । वेगळा दोहींपासूनि ।।२।।

देहभोग भोगें घडे । जें जें जोडे तें बरे ।।३।।

अवघें पावे नारायणीं । जनार्दनीं तुकयाचें ।।४।।

English

1. Nindee konee maaree, vandi konee pooja karee
2. Maj hehee nahee tehee nahee, vegalaa doheepasuni
3. Dehabhog bhoge ghade, je je jode te bare
4. Avaghe paave Narayanee, Janardhani Tukayaache

Translation

This is an abhanga of detachment. Saint Tukaram expresses his complete detachment.

1. Whether someone censures me or someone praises me; whether someone bows down or someone hits me; it makes no difference to me. 
2. I am different from both these. I am detached from both.
3. Whatever material pleasures or sorrows are experienced by the body, are for the body only and both of them are OK.
4. Tuka says, all these (material joys and sorrows) truly belong to God and He alone receives them.
