1. Maya Brahma aise mhanatee dharmathak,
aapanasarise lok naagvile
2. Vishayee lampat shikavee kuvidyaa, manaamage naandyaa
houni phire
3. Karunee khaataa paak jire suran raai, karita
atityaai dukkha paave
4. Aushadh dyavayaa chalavile balaa, dauniya gula drushteepudhe
5. Taraavaya adhee shodhaa vedavanee, vaanjat
bolanee vara tyanchee
6. Tuka mhane jayaa pindaache paalan, na ghade
Narayan bhete taya.
In this Abhang Saint Tukaram is saying that those
who love the body and indulge in the pleasures of the body will never find God.
They are completely misled.
2. Such people are very much slaves of their senses
and are addicted to sensory pleasures. They teach misleading things to other
people and follow their own mind which is allured by the subjects dear to the
senses. They resemble 'Nandi' - the carrier of Lord Shiva, who follows Shiva
whatever He goes.
3. One must give a deep thought before acting. If
you cook mustard seeds or Yam properly, then it can be digested well, but if
you do the atrocity of eating them raw, you will suffer with stomach ache.
4. If you have to give bitter medicine to a child,
you have to first give him a piece of jaggery to attract him.
5. If you want to cross this ocean of duality then
you should study the Vedas, search and understand what the Vedas are saying.
Keep the wasteful talks of fake preachers away from you.
6. Tuka says, Lord Narayana will never meet those
who care only for the body and indulge in the pleasures of the body.
