This Abhang narrates a funny story of a husband and
wife, whose mother tongues are different and they land into confusing
situations! Through this story, Saint Tukaram is stressing on the importance of
staying in the right company, the company of saints.
2. Oh Lord, do not put me in this kind situation.
Give me company of only saints (whom I can understand and they can understand
me).
3. She said 'Il ba' meaning 'come here', but, from
the word 'ba' he misinterpreted that she was addressing him as 'father
(daddy)'. He thought she is taking a vow to look at him as her father! So he
started running away from her!
4. Tuka says, if there is anomaly between two
persons, it leads to sorrow instead of happiness.
