Translation
This abhang is a description of a man who is oblivious of the fact that he is working on wrong things when his real goal should be chanting God’s name.
1. A man who is dead can never come back. Even then, this man who is on his way to death, is working on how to hand over his estate to his wife and children.
2. He has become so shameless, he is not remembering God's name even at the end of his life.
3. He is looking at his enemies with anger and is shedding tears while seeing his loved ones.
4. Even when he has been tied up and handed over to Yama (by his relatives, meaning, they have accepted the fact that he is going to die soon), this man is not worried.
5. He is thinking that he has nothing to do with the agents of death who are coming to take him to Yama. He should be considered as a very vile person.
6. Tuka says, why are you still silent about chanting God's name? (even at this stage, when death is so near?)
