गासी तरि एक विठ्ठलचि गाई । नाहीं तरि ठायीं राहें उगा ॥१॥
अद्वैतीं तों नाहीं बोलाचें कारण । जाणीवेचा सीण करिसी वांयां ॥२॥
तुका म्हणे किती करावी फजिती । लाज नाहीं चित्ती निलाजिरा ॥३॥

1. Gaasee tari ek vitthalachi gaaee, naahee tari thaayee raahe ugaa

2. Advaitee to naahee bolaache kaaran, jaaneevechaa seen karisee vaayaa

3. Tuka mhane kitee karavee fajitee, laaj naahee chitee nilaajiraa.

 

Translation

1. If you want to sing, then sing the name of Shri Vitthal. Otherwise, stay in the pure state of Oneness (Advaita).

2. In Oneness, there is no concept of 'the Trinity' (doer, deed, object), so there's no reason to speak at all. But you neither sing the name nor do you stay in the state of Oneness. In such a situation, why do you bother to show wisdom to people?

3. Tuka says, how much should one shame such a shameless person? No matter how much you shame them, they feel no embarrassment in their hearts.
