 खरें बोले तरी । फुकासाठीं जोडे हरी ॥१॥

ऐसे फुकाचे उपाय । सांडूनियां वांयां जाय ॥२॥

परउपकार । एका वचनाचा फार ॥३॥

तुका म्हणे मळ । मनें सांडितां शीतळ ॥४॥

1. Khare bole taree, fukaasaathee jode Haree

2. Aise phukaache upaay, saandooniyaa vaayaa jaay

3. Paraupkaar, ekaa vachanaachaa faar

4. Tukaa mhane mala, mane saanditaa sheetal.

 

Translation

1. If a person simply follows the vow of always speaking the truth throughout life, they will attain Lord Shrihari effortlessly, without doing anything else.

2. Instead of choosing this simple and free path, people waste their energy running after complicated practices.

3. The good that comes from speaking just one truth cannot even be described.

4. Tuka says, when the mind throws away the dirt of falsehood, it becomes truly peaceful.
