आणीक कोणाचा न करीं मी संग । जेणें होय भंग माझ्या चित्ता ॥१॥

विठ्ठलावांचूनि आणीक जे वाणी । नाइकें मी कानीं आपुलिया ॥२॥

समाधानासाठी बोलावी हे मात । परि माझें चित्त नाहीं कोठें ॥३॥

जिवाहूनि मज तेचि आवडती । आवडे ज्या चित्तीं पांडुरंग ॥४॥

तुका म्हणे माझें तोचि जाणे हित । आणिकांच्या चित्त नेदीं बोला ॥५॥

2. Vitthalaavaachooni aaneek je vaanee, naaike mee kaanee aapuliya

3. Samaadhaanaasaathee bolaavee he maat, pari maaze chitta naahee kothe

4. Jivaahooni maj techi aavadatee, aavade jya chittee Pandurang

5. Tuka mhane maaze tochi jaane hit, aanikaanchyaa chitta nedee bola.

Translation

1. I will not keep company with anyone whose association disturbs my mind and makes it restless.

2. I will never listen to any words other than the name 'Vitthal' with my ears.

3. To help seekers attain the satisfaction of self-knowledge, I sometimes speak about spiritual matters, or occasionally I say things for the contentment of ordinary people. However, my mind is not attached anywhere.

4. I love those people more than my own life whose hearts have a fondness for Panduranga (Vitthal).

5. Tuka says that only those saints who love God know what is good for me. Therefore, I do not pay attention to the words of others.
